On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi on Sunday August 23rd, 2009, Sarla sings/ recites this wonderful Aarti for Shri Ganesh. For Hindus Shri Ganesh is the main symbol of God that is worshipped on all good occasions that arise in our lives. I have been celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi for the last thirty years and celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi each year for seven days. Offering Shri Ganeshji one home made sweet for each day. In my home Ganesh Chaturthi gets more importance than Diwali since I am so involved with it. When we visit Bombay we always go to Shri Siddhi Vinayak temple at Prabhadevi. I have placed a picture of Shri Ganesh in Siddhi Vinayak form at the begining of this aarti. I have recited the aarti in Marathi so kindly excuse any pronounciation errors that I may have made. On this Ganesh Chaturthi day I hope Shri Ganesh will bless us all with peace, prosperity and good health. I wish all of you a very Happy Ganesh Chaturthi. Ganpati Bappa Moriya, Pudchya Varshi Laukarya !!

Ganeshvaraye Namah - Lord Ganesh Aarti

Ganesh or Ashtavinayak is one of the most widely worshipped deities in Hinduism. A patron of arts, sciences and god of creativity, intellect and wisdom, Lord Ganesh depicts and elephant head and his vehicle is a mouse. He is known as the vighna harta or the the god who removes obstacles, lord of beginnings. He is the son of Parvati and Shiva and brother of Kartikeya. According to the Shiva Purana, Ganesh had two sons, Kshema meaning prosperity and Labh meaning profit. He himself signified Buddhi, Riddhi, Siddhi ie wisdom, prosperity and attainment. In Maharashtra and especially in Mumbai, Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm where large idols of Ganesha are worshipped and immersed into the ocean. The festival takes place early August or Late September. "Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Deva - Mata Jaki Parvati Pita Mahadeva" is a Devotional song of the Hindus sung in the praise of "Lord Ganesha - Son of Lord Shiva"Pray to Lord Ganesha. Samsung Electronics unveiled three smartphone models that run on its own operating system, as it seeks to expand market share in the low-end segment and diversify its lineups heavily focused on Google's Android software. (Reuters)

Samsung on Tuesday unveiled Wave 3 with a 4-inch AMOLED screen and a 5 megapixel camera, as well as cheaper Wave M and Wave Y. The Wave M will have Samsung's first instant messaging tool chatON installed and entry-level Wave Y with 3.2-inch display will go on sale in October.

The three models add to 7 Wave series lineups Samsung introduced since first bada-based product went on sale in May 2010.

Samsung, whose flagship Android-based Galaxy S models helped it become the world's No.2 smartphone maker in the second quarter, is now focusing on emerging markets with cheaper phones costing $200 or below.

Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan are all set to host the fifth season of Bigg Boss together and warn the participants to gear up for "double vaat" on the show.

"Jaise ki double roti, double decker, double khaat, waise hum dono milke lagaayenge double vaat," the two actors can be seen saying in the teaser.

The actors have worked together in films like Saajan and Chal Mere Bhai. It'll be interesting to see their chemistry after much talked about spat between the duo due to Sanjay's proximity with Salman's rival SRK.

There have been speculations about the celeb participants. Reportedly Dino Morea to Navjyot Singh Siddhu, Maria Susairaj to Poonam Pandey have been considered.

The inmates are required to stay in the house for three months with no contact with the outside world.

Murder 2 is an upcoming Bollywood erotic thriller film and the sequel to the 2004 film Murder. The film stars Emraan Hashmi and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead. It is directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Mukesh Bhatt. It is scheduled for release on July 8, 2011. The theatrical trailer of the film will be revealed with Ready.

Murder 2 has been inspired by legendary stories of such serial killers and other dark characters like psychopaths. It is rumoured to be inspired by films like Saw and Hostel.

Bird flu on the rise again

Avian or bird flu is showing signs of a resurgence, while a mutant strain – that cannot be prevented by vaccination - could be spreading in Asia, the United Nations has warned. This mutant strain appeared in Vietnam and China and its risk to humans cannot be predicted, veterinary officials said.

Virus circulation in Vietnam threatens Thailand, Malaysia and Cambodia, where eight people have died after becoming infected this year, officials warned. The World Health Organization says bird flu has killed 331 people since 2003. Bird flu upsurge has also killed or provoked the culling of more than 400m domestic poultry worldwide and caused an estimated $20bn (£12.2bn) of economic damage. Avian flu has in the past two years appeared in poultry or wild birds in countries that had been virus-free for several years: Israel and the Palestinian Territories, Bulgaria, Romania, Nepal and Mongolia are among those recently affected.

The virus had been eliminated from most of the 63 countries infected at its 2006 peak, which saw 4,000 outbreaks across the globe, but remains endemic in Bangladesh, China, Egypt, India, Indonesia and Vietnam. Number of cases has been rising again since 2008, apparently because of migratory bird movements, said the UN's Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) chief veterinary officer, Juan Lubroth. He said, "Wild birds may introduce the virus, but people's actions in poultry production and marketing spread it."

CBI says Several firms exist only on paper in YS Jagan case

A new twist in YS Jagan case as CBI on tuesday submitted a report to special court saying that several companies which allegedly made the investments into YS Jagan's Companies are exist only on paper. CBI has came to this conclusion after they gathered information from Kolkata and other cities include Hyderabad. It has also reportedly cited the claim of the Income Tax department, which has slapped a fine of over Rs 200 crore on Jagathi Publications by terming the reported investments into the company as income.




Sources says ED was now digging the depth into the sources of funds mainly focussing on the funds which came via mauritius route. Earlier in the day, CBI joint director VV Laxminarayana met the chief secretary SV Prasad in the Jagan and Emaar cases. The meeting was aimed at seeking further assistance from the state officials.

Audi reveals New Urban Concept car which will be on the display at Frankfurt motor show in September 2011.
Audi Urban Concept have so far shown through some vague sketches. Although it doesn't bear the name, the Urban Concept is technically part of Audi's e-tron electric vehicle programme, drawing power from two electric motors.

This Car is basically a concept made from carbon fiber rainforced polymer which integrates the undercarriage of both seats. it's been built as an exemplar of the manufacturer's ultra-lightweight philosophy, which sees every ounce of unnecessary mass removed. Which explains why the entire monocoquepit's made from carbon fibre-reinforced polymer.
