Delivery pickups for the self-employed of Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka government and the Self Employed Person's Association have launched a programme to distribute 500 delivery vans to the self-employed persons.

The People's Bank provides loans for the self-employed persons to purchase delivery vans while the Diesel and Motor Engineering Company is supplying Dimo Batta delivery pickups at a discounted price to the project.

Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa launched this project yesterday at the Galle Face green.

The project is launched parallel to the Divi Neguma livelihood development programme launched by the Ministry of Economic Development.
